If you want to use the combined gLite UI on AFS, please do the following:
Log to a node with AFS enabled (e.g. lxplus.cern.ch)
The root directory of the installation is structured so that you will find different software releases
For gLite versions under the 3.2 (SL5) baseline, we have created new link
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS_slc5_beta
For gLite versions under the 3.1 (SL4) baseline, we have created new links
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS ,
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS_old ,
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS_beta
the former will always be a link to the newest 3.1 version. The later will link at the previous 3.1 version. Older versions can be found under /afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/
For those interested in gLite versions under the 3.0 baseline, we have created new links
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS_3.0,
/afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS_3.0_old,
Updates will be installed there as long as there will be support for gLite 3.0 for the UI.
Once you have selected the UI you are interested in (e.g. ui_PPS), you need to source one of the two scripts (depending on your shell).
bash Source /afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS/external/etc/profile.d/grid-env.sh
tcsh Source /afs/cern.ch/project/gd/egee/glite/ui_PPS/external/etc/profile.d/grid-env.csh
Please open a GGUS ticket for any problem you may encounter.
